Professional Hope and Goal

It has been an awesome journey of eight weeks with exceptionally educated, dedicated, and hardworking colleagues, who have shared their stories and knowledge. I cannot put into words how much I have learned from all of you.  I believe we all have created an online community, where we each shared our stories, wisdom and supported each other in growth. I only wished we could have met in person and made our professional relationship stronger. Nevertheless, I would like to thank each and everyone in our “Perspective on Diversity, Equity and Social Justice” course. I am also very thankful to Dr. Parrish for being an amazing professor. I will never forget her quick help and her feedback on everything we did in this course. I wish you all the best!!!
With these notes, I would like to set up a new hope and goal for myself in supporting diversity, equity, and social justice.
During Halloween 2013: My student and I were both Bob the Builder...

Hope: I hope children in my care will never feel the discrimination, excluded, hatred just because of their color of skin, gender, sex, class, religion, age or any. I want everyone to feel happy, safe and included.
Goal: My goal is to up-bring children as a good citizen, who cares about others and their environment.
